Plugin Installation Instructions
- Download the plugin file (zip format) and save it to your computer.
- Log in to the OpenCart admin panel and navigate to the extensions management page (Extensions → Installer).
- Click the Upload button and select the plugin you downloaded.
- Go to Extensions → Modifications and click Clear and Refresh.
- The plugin is now installed. You can access its settings by navigating to Extensions → Extensions → Shipping.
- On the settings page, fill in the appropriate fields based on the functionality you want.
ACS Points Plugin Settings Explanation
Configuration Settings
Status:
Enable or disable the plugin.
Title:
The name of the shipping method displayed at Checkout.
Countries Availability:
Select whether lockers will be available in Greece, Cyprus, or both countries.
Enter the Google Maps API Key required for the proper operation of the map.
In this field, insert your own Google Maps API Key. If you do not have one, you can follow the steps below to generate it.
Steps to generate API Key for Maps
You will need to enable the Geocoding API and Maps JavaScript API.
Weight Limit (kg)
The maximum volumetric weight supported by the service. It is recommended not to exceed 20kg
Free Shipping (€)
The total order amount above which shipping is free.
Store/Sender Country:
The country from which orders are shipped.
Store/Sender ZIP Code:
The postal code of the sender’s store.
Authentication Settings
Enter the Web Services credentials exactly as provided by ACS.
Pricing Settings
Base Cost (€)
Define the base shipping cost for the customer when selecting this delivery method.
Base KG Limit (kg)
Define the weight limit covered by the base cost.
Cost Per KG (€)
Define the cost per additional kilogram.
Different pricing can be set for the following zones:
WITHIN CITY, ISLAND, REGIONAL, MAINLAND, WITHIN CYPRUS (Cyprus to Cyprus), CYPRUS (Greece to Cyprus).
With the above steps, the installation and configuration of the plugin are complete.
Plugin Functionality
Once the plugin is enabled, during the checkout process the customer will have an additional shipping option for order delivery and pickup. This option will appear as shown in the screenshot (minor or major visual differences may occur depending on the theme you are using).
By selecting “ACS Points”, the customer can choose the most convenient ACS Point through a map displaying all available locations.
The user’s selection is recorded in your admin panel and saved in the corresponding order as the selected shipping method.
After installation, it is recommended to perform the following checks:
- Place an order using ACS Points: Ensure the order is successfully registered and the selected locker appears in the admin panel.
- Place an order using standard delivery: Confirm that the order is properly recorded in the admin system.
- Checkout cost calculation check: Verify that shipping costs are calculated correctly for both ACS Points and standard delivery methods.
- Map display check: Ensure that available points (lockers) are correctly displayed on the map and can be selected by the user.
