ACS Points Plugin - Wordpress (EN)

Plugin Installation Instructions

  1. Enter the WordPress admin area and select the Plugins management page from the main menu.

  2. Click the Add New button to add a new plugin.

  3. On the next page, type “ACS Points” in the search bar and click Install.

  4. Once the installation is complete, click the Activate button that appears.

  5. The plugin is now installed, and by selecting Settings, you can access the plugin’s configuration options.

On the settings page, fill in the appropriate fields based on the functionality you want.

Explanation of ACS Points Plugin Settings

Configuration Settings

Activation:
Enable or disable the plugin.

Countries availability:
Select whether the lockers option will be available in Greece, Cyprus, or both countries.

Enter the Google Maps API Key required for the correct functioning of the map.
In this field, enter your own Google Maps API Key. If you don’t have a Google Maps API Key, you can follow the steps below to generate one:

Steps to Generate API Key for Maps:
You will need to enable the API Key for Geocoding API & Maps JavaScript API.

Weight Limit (kg):
The maximum volumetric weight that the service can support. We recommend that the value you set does not exceed 20kg.

Free Shipping (€):
The total order amount above which shipping costs are free.

Store/Sender Country:
The country from which orders are shipped.

Store/Sender ZIP Code:
The postal code of the sender’s store.

Authentication Settings:
Enter the Web Services credentials exactly as provided by ACS.

Pricing Settings

Base Cost per Shipment (€):
Set the base shipping cost for the customer if they choose this delivery method.

Base KG Limit (kg):
Set the weight limit for which the base cost applies.

Cost per Additional KG (€):
Set the cost for each additional kilogram.

Different values can be set for the following zones: IN-CITY, ISLAND, REGIONAL, MAINLAND, WITHIN CYPRUS (Cyprus to Cyprus), CYPRUS (Greece to Cyprus).

Following these steps, you have completed the installation and configuration of the plugin.

Plugin Functionality

Once the plugin is activated, during checkout, the customer will have an additional option for order delivery and pickup.
The new option will appear similarly to the screenshot below (minor or major visual differences depend on the theme you are using).

By selecting ACS Points, the customer can now choose the ACS Point that is most convenient for them from a map displaying all available points.

The user’s selection is recorded in your admin panel and noted in the corresponding order as the selected shipping method.

Recommended Post-Installation Checks

  • Place an order with ACS Points selected: Ensure the order is successfully registered and that the selected locker appears in the admin panel.
  • Place an order with standard delivery: Confirm the order is properly registered in the admin system.
  • Check shipping cost calculation at checkout: Verify that shipping costs are correctly calculated for both ACS Points and standard delivery methods.
  • Verify map point display: Ensure available points (lockers) are correctly displayed on the map and can be selected by the user.
